Our children have a well-sequenced learning journey as they progress through the KHIA curriculum. This is mapped from nursery and links well to the Kents Hill Junior school curriculum, where we follow many of the same schemes, for example, in phonics and PSHE.
Information about the school day
At Kents Hill Infant Academy, we strive to create a structured and engaging school day that prioritizes both academic learning and social development. Our typical school hours run from 8:25 am to 3:15 pm from Monday to Thursday, and until 1:35 pm on Fridays, totaling 32.5 hours weekly.
During this time, students experience a balanced mix of teaching sessions, playtimes, and lunchtime, all designed to foster a love of learning and promote positive interactions among peers. Our approach to the school day ensures that children feel included, valued, and supported, preparing them for their future educational journeys.
