I’m Mrs Spink and I am the curriculum lead for Art. I’ve always loved art and, although I’m not very talented at drawing, I have spent many happy times in galleries, appreciating the work of many artists.
Art is such an important part of the curriculum. It enables children to express their individuality and imagination. It gives all children the chance to shine.
Art and Design at KHIA
Art is linked to our pupils’ topics where possible, to ensure that they link their learning, so that they remember it. We follow the National curriculum and have written a scheme that is knowledge-rich, including the disciplinary knowledge of being an artist. We encourage the children to be creative and independent in their masterpieces!
